Borrowing, explained

What every borrower should know

Deposits set your limit

Most loans are capped at a multiple of your non-withdrawable deposits. Saving consistently is the fastest way to borrow more.

Guarantors share the risk

Fellow members pledge part of their deposits for the amount above your own. You repay on time; their pledge is released.

Know the interest method

Reducing-balance interest is charged only on what you still owe; flat-rate interest is charged on the original amount throughout.

Repay on time

Late instalments attract penalties after a short grace period and affect your ability to borrow again.
